I designed the UI/UX of the new voice search engine for french postal services on iOS App.
Type to query is an accessibility feature: It's designed for people who may not be able to speak their queries and need a keyboard to do so, and a huge boon for them, too.
La Poste encourages users to type detailed questions on the App, and suggests samples to go with them.
I designed the service, working with the team at La Poste to make it visually consistent with the App. Technology shouldn’t just work, it should also look good.
Voice Search uses the power of speech recognition to search the App! Instead of typing use voice input to quickly and easily search for the things you care about.
Just click on the microphone and say "winter olympics" to search for winter olympics products. If you specifically want stamps of winter olympics, say "winter olympics stamps". Want to learn more about your parcel tracking? Say "shipments tracking".
Ask your questions out loud and get answers spoken back whether you are out and about or sitting at your desk. Just tap the mic on the App and speak up. This works on the La Poste App for iOS.
